The following Refund Policy does not apply to Individual or Relationship coaching sessions. The Refund Policy for Individual and Relationship coaching sessions is explicity stated at the time of booking.
Event Refund Policy
At Speaking of Listening, LLC, we want to ensure a smooth experience for all event participants. Please review our policy regarding event fee cancellations and refunds. In this context, ‘event’ encompasses workshops, classes, private group instruction, and any other scheduled gatherings, whether online or in-person. ‘Registration fee’ is the cost you pay to attend the event. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns:
- Cancellation more than 30 days before an event:
- If you cancel your registration over 30 days before the event starts, we’ll happily refund your registration fee in full, minus any applicable transaction fees. To qualify, notify us via email at least 30 days before your event begins.
- Cancellation between 15 and 30 days before an event:
- If you cancel your registration between 15 and 30 days before your event, we’ll refund 75% of your registration fee minus any applicable transaction fees. To qualify, notify us via email at least 15 days before your event starts.
- Cancellation within 14 days of an event, excluding the last 48 hours:
- If you cancel within 14 days of your event (but not within the last 48 hours), we’ll provide you with a promotional code equivalent to 50% of your registration fee. You can use this code for a future event within six months of issuance. To qualify, notify us via email more than 48 hours before your event begins.
- Cancellation within 48 hours of an event:
- Unfortunately, we do not provide refunds or promotional codes if you cancel within the last 48 hours before an event begins. We suggest offering your spot to a friend or colleague if you cannot attend.
- Full Refunds (registration fee and any applicable transaction fees) for Cancellation by the Organizer:
- If an event is canceled by the organizer due to reasons beyond the participant’s control, such as event facilitator illness, fewer than 6 registrations for in-person events, or unforeseen circumstances, participants receive a full refund.
- Missed Events:
- We do not provide refunds or promotional codes for missed events. This policy applies to all events.
- Inclement Weather or Acts of Nature:
- If an event is canceled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, increases in local Covid cases, changes to local Covid guidance, positive Covid cases of our staff, or other Acts of Nature, you will receive a full refund.
- Non-Cash Credit: Event promotional codes are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to merchandise purchases.
- Covid Policies: When you register for any of our in-person events, you are accepting the terms outlined below under “Covid Policies.”
- Important Note:
- Last-minute cancellations affect our ability to fill vacant spots and maintain affordable class prices. We appreciate your consideration when registering.
Covid Policies
We’re thrilled to have you join our in-person events! Please take a moment to review our Covid-19 safety policy below. When you register for any of our in-person events, you are accepting the following terms:
Masks: Masks may be required depending on the current Covid rates in our area and the presence of individuals at high risk.
Covid-Related Cancellations: If you’ve tested positive for Covid-19 or are experiencing symptoms after a known exposure, please reach out to us immediately to cancel your event registration. You’ll receive a promo code equal to the registration fee amount, which can be used for any future event within six months of the date of the canceled event, whether in-person or virtual. We regret that we can’t provide refunds in these cases.
Please note that non-Covid-related cancellations follow our standard 48-hour cancellation policy. As a small business, we genuinely appreciate your cooperation and honesty in accurately reporting your reasons for cancellations. Your understanding and truthfulness enable us to maintain affordable event fees.
Refunds for Event Cancellations: If we cancel an event due to temporary Covid-related closures or the unavailability of our event facilitator, we will issue full refunds.
Adhering to Guidelines: We are committed to following CDC and local guidance for gatherings. If community spread increases or new restrictions are imposed that lead to event cancellations, all attendees will receive a full refund. We kindly ask that you register for in-person events only if you are comfortable with these policies.
Policy Updates: Speaking of Listening, LLC reserves the right to adjust this policy as circumstances change.
